Goodyear is a municipality in the southwest of the Greater Phoenix in Arizona. Goodyear itself is difficult to define without help nowadays, as it is growing more and more with neighboring communities. Located at the foot of the Estralla mountain range, Goodyear today resembles many American suburbs.

The city was originally founded as a home for workers on nearby cotton plantations of the Goodyear tire company.
The closest major airport is Phoenix Sky Harbor, located in the center of Phoenix and is most easily accessible via Interstate I-10.
The Phoenix Goodyear Airport is located on S. Litchfield Road, in the heart of the city and is the home base of the Airline Training Center Arizona, where all future Lufthansa pilots are trained.
Greyhound buses stop at Glendale, the neighboring town of Goodyears. From there you can take a taxi.

The Interstate It runs directly north of Goodyear and there are four downhill runs in the area of the city, Estrella Parkway, Litchfield Road, Dysart Road and Avondale Blvd.
